Home Depot Informative - Buy Seconds At Home Depot, Pay Like Top Quality
SHREWSBURY, MASSACHUSETTS -- This summer I bought a refrigerator at home depot. This past week and while doing cleanup I found the refrigerator door has glue on top of the screws and hinges. Visiting the home depot store where the refrigerator was bought didn't help. The clerk, as expected, couldn't do anything. So I got a call back from the manager this morning. She couldn't do anything either cause it was past 48 hours since delivery. And she also claimed Home Depot had nothing to do with it since they are not the ones doing the delivery, GE is, so GE is responsible. Or if not GE, then Maytag is the responsible. So she gave me the Maytag number and after my insistence the Home Depot complain number. The first person I talked with at HD cc was rude, just forward my call to some outdated number at MayTag.
In the second call I got a nice person, but again, it was not Home Depot problem, so she sent me to MayTag. Finally got to talk with someone at MayTag. A very nice lady that blamed (again) GE. So they going to send a tech to check it out, since its still under the warranty. Regardless, one thing I can assure you, this was the last time I bought anything at Home Depot.
And if I have time, I'll park my car next to a HD store with a sign "BUY SECONDS AT HOME DEPOT, PAY LIKE TOP QUALITY"
