US Airways Complaint - Overbooking Embarrassment
PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA -- Customer Service Manager,
As a frequent user of your company, I feel obligated to share with you my experience.
On 11/19/00, in San Juan, my wife and I were scheduled to be on flight 1853 at 4:45 PM returnig to Philadelphia. We were informed by Airline Reps. that they were trying to find seats for us.We were traveling with a group of at least 45 friends and couldn't understand why we were the only ones getting bumped. Finally we were called. 'Mr. Walker,we have your seats'. We were given first-class seats, and began to board the plane. Just as I closed my eyes settling comfortably in my chair, a Rep. appeared saying we were given the wrong seats and would have to get off the plane.Another couple with the last name of Walker who the seats supposedly belonged to had arrived suddenly. It was so embarrasing and stressful to have to go through this.We waited at the terminal another 25 min while the staff feverishly tried to get us seats,we wanted to go home. Finally we received seats ,mind you ,my wife and I were seperated by 15 rows and it seemed like none of your people there cared. If they did they certainly didn't express it.
To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:
I feel that we should be offered a refund for the inconvenience
At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident.
