Courtesy Chevrolet - West Colonial Dr. Orlando, FL Complaint - Dishonest Service Department - Courtesy Chevrolet, W Colonial Dr Orlando, FL

ORLANDO, FLORIDA -- I want to bring something to your attention related to two recent service visits I experienced at Courtesy Chevrolet on West Colonial Drive in Orlando, Florida. The first time I took my 2005 Silverado Z71 in, I asked that they look at the automatic transmission because it would occasionally "clank" when down shifting going up hill. I also asked that they look at the four wheel drive because it had a slight roar while in four wheel drive. And lastly, there was a rattle sound in the front end while going at low speed. The dealership replaced a steering component for the front end rattle. They said they "serviced" the transmission and four wheel drive differential - both the transmission and the 4X4 problem are still there after spending over $900. They had no answer for the transmission, but NOW they said to fix the 4X4 problem, would require another $900.

Within a couple of days, my check engine light came one. I took it back to Courtesy Chevrolet. They checked it out and told me that the repairs would come to approximately $1,050. At this point, I was very suspicious of their ability to diagnose problems their honesty, so I decided to get a second opinion. I have since had the so-called $1,050 problem fixed for a grand total of $130......I leaking Evap Control Solenoid.

I am going to file a complaint with the Orlando Better Business Bureau because there is something very, very wrong with Courtesy Chevrolet. I find them very dishonest, despite the "loyalty" and "honest" banners hanging up in the service area. I have always been a Chevy Truck man, but I have sense traded for an F150. There is no way I could be convinced that all this was just a simple honest mistake. This is the type of thing that should be dealt with in a severe manner!

Did you bring it back to a dealership? If so, then be prepared to be charged an arm and a leg.

No, I didn't take it back because I agree with you, I would have been charged even more. I decided it would be better for me and my truck if I had a knowledgeable and honest person fix it

I recently used courtesy chevrolet after my car was in an accident. It had front end damage. I was told they warrenty all their work. I live about an hour and a half away. When I left there my tires were viberating but I thought I would just get them roatated and balanced. When I got home I noticed a scratch they didn't paint. Once again I was going to get it done myself because it would cost me more to take off work and in gas to go up there. Then I noticed one side of my hood was higher than the other and the vibration at this point is unbearable. I called the body shop and was told I could bring it in and they would tell me if it was from the accident or not. I'm going to end up paying for it myself because it will cost more to take off work to find out if they will even fix it. I will never use them again or reccomend them to anyone.
