Circuit City Complaint - Shipping
Circuit City's shipping policy's are terrible. I was excited when they sent the confirmation e-mail saying that the product had shipped on 11/2/07 when they had originally said it wouldn't ship until 11/5/07. I tracked the package that had shipped via Fed-Ex, and according to Fed-Ex, it was delivered to my front door on 11/6/07 with no signature service requested (so nobody signed for it). I never received the package. I called Fed-Ex that same day (11/6/07) and they said they would run a tracer on the package and try to contact the driver and call with information hopefully the next day. They didn't. I called them 2 more times that week and they didn't have any information. They told me to call back after the weekend, so I did, but then they said there was nothing they could do because the package was considered lost.
They said the shipper (Circuit City) would have to issue a claim. So I called Circuit City and tried to communicate with someone who could barely speak English. She said there was nothing she could do because they have a time frame of 15 business days until they can do anything about a claim. So now I have to wait until November 23, 2007 until I can call back and see if they will issue a freight claim or send me another heater. I need a heater, but I can't afford to buy another one.
Who knows if I will ever see the one I ordered from Circuit City. It is Fed-ex's fault for losing the package, but it is Circuit City's responsibility to issue a claim and send me another heater.
