DirecTV Inc Complaint - New Customer Installation Direct TV
TUCSON, ARIZONA -- Beware consumers.... My family is new to direct TV and we will never refer them to anyone we know. We had 4 scheduled install appointments; twice they did not show up, even in their four hour window they give you! If you have a job you might as well hire someone to sit at your house because it is more than frustrating and way to expensive to miss work for their unreliability, piss poor attitude and incompetence!! Basically I spent 4 days off work with the technicians not being capable of the simple task of calling to say they would need to reschedule or were running late. Yesterday I spent 7 hours waiting till 7pm to get the third call from the tech to say "the warehouse is closed and I cannot get the equipment needed to finish your install"!
This is hardly acceptable however spending countless hours trying to maintain sanity/clarity and any redeeming quality of civility to hear the supervisor by the name of Lonnie tell me she was not obligated under the BBB to compensate for my 17 hours of total time missed from work...Not to mention the insanity of sitting/waiting in a house we have not moved into so there was nothing to sit, eat or do for those hours except steam!! The local contractors they use here in Tucson "ironwood" was just as unprincipled, careless/flippant in attitude! Their receptionist must have a gpa of a second grader and why is it that people just lack common courtesy? Their technician was more concerned with himself getting paid for the install than any concerns of my frustrations on his lack of incompetence.
I am at a loss to what to do except vent thru this website. How pathetic our society has become when nobody cares or has principles of caring in what is right and what is wrong! So anyone whom is considering direct TV......Do not! There are others out there and I wish in hind sight I had read the other peoples complaints thru this site in regards to them.
