Staples Complaint - Rude Manager - Faulty DVD+R's
WEBSTER, NEW YORK -- I bought some Memorex DVD+R the other day from my local staples. It seems I got a bad batch. I burned perhaps 15 discs between two burners one of the burners I purchased from staples last year. (never again!). Anyways. All of the burned discs had read errors. I used my copy of DVDinfo pro to test and confirm that the discs were indeed sub-par. I went to the store to return them and the manager looked at the 50 pack spool and gave me the hairy eyeball and said "wheres the rest" (referring to the 15 or so bad discs i burned that I through in the trash) I explained I through them in the trash so he proceeded to tell me he would not issue me a refund. Now perhaps if I didn't spend so much money at that store on such things as laptop computers, countless computer peripherals, I'm a PC tech and I often buy parts for customers there, And loads of ink and supplies. I would not have been so affronted when he basically accused me of trying to pull a fast one one them. Ive bought bad batches of discs in the past from stores such as best buy and never had any trouble returning bad discs. Long story short.
I will never buy from that store again. nor will I send any business their way. The manager was just plan rude. Or perhaps it was the alcohol talking as I smelled it quite clearly on his breath.
