NEW JERSEY -- We purchased a GE Profile Harmony Washing Machine and dryer in June 2006. We went all out financially buying the extended warranty etc. Due to the amount of time we do laundry. There are 5 people in our family and laundry is a part of our every day. 16 Months later the washing machine stops working. Three weeks later, 2 completed service calls (a new motor and a new clutch were installed), 2 cancelled service calls (cancelled by GE), missed work, hours on the phone trying to get help, and trips to a laundromat (at $50 a trip) we still do not have our washing machine!!!!! I spoke with a customer relations person today who told me in her exact words "there AIN'T nobody here that can help you"!! As a family we will NEVER buy a GE appliance again. We had better luck with our $400 washing machine made by a no name company and it actually lasted for 10 years! Friends told us to buy LG appliances and I think we should have listened. Another customer relations person called to cancel our second service call because their techs were just too busy with warranty work.
My husband said "that does not say much about your products" and her response was "well, sir i have to agree with you on that"!!! what a company!! so after all of this I will be off to the laundromat soon, and we are scheduled for another service call five days from today (3 weeks without a washing machine)! Lets see if they keep this appointment and actually FIX the machine this time! I have never written a "complaint" of any kind in my entire life. I am so outraged at how we have been treated by GE as a company I just wanted to let people know that they have terrible customer service!
