Jetblue Complaint - Missing Baggage - Baggage Missing

Baggage Missing - Complaint
Review by luca on 2007-11-17
Hi,
I am from Italy, I flew Jetblue on November 13th together with my wife from Chicago to NY where I had a job interview. Besides my daily asthma medication my baggage contained my attire for the interview. On arrival, my baggage was missing and the horror story begun.

Approaching the Jetblue office, no wonder there were many people waiting and many bags inside the place. Any way I reported the loss of the luggage to a lady called Joanne who politely told me that the bag was most likely on the incoming next plane.

I had to call them later and then at mid night as the music was always the same "your bag should be on the next flight". I was told to purchase things worth 100 $ and then send them receipts and then I would be refunded the money.
The following day I had go to Philadelphia, of course I called them before leaving and was told about the "next flight..."

Two days later, I flew out of USA from JFK and before departure I went personally to the baggage claim office and guess what? office full of desperate faces, plus a good number of bags which may have belonged to people in some part of the world in the same situation like mine, i.e. being told about the famous next flight.

IN all my stay, despite my constant giving my phone contacts, nobody of the Jetblue staff has ever said we are sorry!!I am back to Italy minus my bag, having undergone a very hard time instead of a trip I thought would have been memorable.

I hope you can read this before you purchase any ticket with Jetblue so you are aware of what surprises await you!!!!

And it is only going to get worse as air travel increases due to high gas costs.

You have probably heard to always keep things like medication with you in the aircraft. If there is a long layover or (as happened to you) they lose your bags you won't get sick and not have your medicine.
Having said that however, I wonder if the airlines would let you take something like an inhaler onboard?
It just gets more difficult to travel everyday, I understand the reasons but it sure makes it tricky.
