Orbitz Complaint - Bad Customer Services and False Advertisement
I regret that I did not read this site before I booked a hotel/package with Orbitz.
We are planning to visit Los Angeles this Thanksgiving holiday weekend. I have been with Expedia for many good years. This time I decided to use Orbitz for a change. What a scheme and disappointment?!
We booked a hotel on Orbitz. Everything was fine. Before officially checked out on Orbitz, Orbitz "offered" additional travel packages, such as Getty Center, etc.
We love to visit the beautiful Getty on Route 1. The site did not specify the time and date of the Getty package. As you know, for one, it's free to visit Getty. The advertisement did not mention that this is a self tour (just like you visit on your own). The site says nothing about the schedule and contact until I officially checked out and paid. Surprise, surprise, Orbitz asked me to contact the Starline Tour (??) directly. Startline ONLY offers a 6:45 am tour. Who will visit Getty at 6:45 in the morning? There was no mentioning what so ever when I booked the package.
After complaining to Orbitz, the manager "Laura"(who was so shamed to give me her real name!) promised to call me back about the trip. Well, after 2 weeks, nothing from Orbitz at all.
I am not concerned with money, but am VERY disappointed with their customer services' attitude.
Internet users, be careful what you click on next time! No more Orbitz for me, that's for sure!!
