Europcar Complaint - Charged for non damage
DUBLIN -- Having returned our 7 seater car to Dublin Airport in July, after a 7 day hire, we asked at the desk for them to check it, they said they didn't need to, i again said i wanted them to check it for damage, they asked if there was any damage to it, i told them no, they signed it off, but didn't give us any paperwork back saying they didn't give it, as it was for their records only. A few days later, we notice £265 came off of our credit card, we phoned up to ask why and they told us it was because the passenger wing mirror was smashed and the housing was hanging off NO WAY, we are furious. Also, when we hired it, we put in a 5% off promotion code from the internet, it gave us this off but when collecting the car, they told us the code gave us a free tank of fuel, we thought brilliant, we were to bring it back empty (we have this in writing) we did this and we were then charged for the full tank plus the re-fueling charge.
Has anyone else had problems with Europcar?
