DirecTV Inc Complaint - Losing Distant Network Channels
NORTH CAROLINA -- I have been a Direct TV customer since 2000 receiving feeds from NY and LA in place of local channels that were not up and running yet.
When my dish was moved to another location (September 13) on the house due to tree disturbance, I asked if I would lose my feeds to NY and LA if the local channels were picked up. I too was told: "No, you are grandfathered in by the FCC law". When I called on Oct. 4 to get my NY and LA channels back, they stated it would take 45 days. I waited the 45 days (November 17), and when I called, they said I was ineligible. It has been a cat-and-mouse email game with them ever since.
My plans: I will be filing a complaint with the FCC and other regulating authorities with regard to the fact that Direct TV sold services to me on a fraudulent basis.
