Sprint PCS Complaint - Stay away from Sprint!
TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA -- I should have heeded the warnings of friends in and out of the area: they said not to use Sprint or Nextel, the reception was awful, dropped calls, any inquiry would result in Sprint re-upping their 2 year agreement, which was punishable by a $200 cancellation fee if you cancelled. Because I could not get reception in my HOME or OFFICE with Sprint, I called and the nice little people (well meaning but no authority, worker bees) tried troubleshooting my phone, even gave me a new battery, then a different phone, then a new different phone to try to see if that was where the problem was. NO LUCK. I WAS REPEATEDLY assured by a supervisor the $200. cancellation fee would be waived under the circumstances. Never had I asked for the new phone, or agreed to it, or was asked to return it if I didn't stay with Sprint. Now I'm being charged the $200. cancellation fee, plus the cost of the new phone, plus assorted taxes and remaining charges for usage (which I do owe and will pay if I can ever get a person on the phone). Since I transferred my old Sprint phone number to Alltel (who I am happy with) my old # doesn't work when trying to access account information.
They keep sending me bills. I try to call them and it's ridiculous....have spent at least 3 hours of MY new CELL time with Alltel trying to get this straightened out.....they still say I owe them $461.!!! I had heard horror stories about Sprint: they are probably all true, stay away at all costs!!!!
