Mitsubishi Complaint - Company totally unconcerned about their product
COLUMBIA, MARYLAND -- I bought a Mits VS50707 50" rear projection TV in March 2001. It stopped working in Dec. 06. I called a local TV repair service and they came and picked it up and supposedly fixed it. Cost #750-it broke again would not turn on, same problem. It has been in this shop 8-10 weeks this year on 3 different occasions-still works a while then won't turn on. So in Oct. I went to the dealer and they said don't call the repair man again they would contact the company and see what to do. Botton line after calling repeatedly this company basically they said since it wasn't under warranty any more and the repair shop was not a Mitsubishi authorized repair shop they could do nothing. The repairman could not call their tech department for help, I could only take it to one of their 'authorized repair shops' and see if they could fix it and then pay again. Bottomline they were no help and do not stand behind their product. They even said even though it cost $1800 the technology has advanced and it probably couldn't be fixed. I guess I am just old fashioned and expect an expensive TV to be able to be repaired. This company has no concern for its product or its consumers. We are just suckers to be taken advantage of. DO NOT BUY AND MITSUBISHI PRODUCTS!!!
