Oasis Restaurant And Lounge Compliment - Thanksgiving Buffet

Review by D on 2007-11-22
BAY CITY, MICHIGAN, MICHIGAN -- I had occasion to go to this restaurant for their Thanksgiving buffet and found the food to be incredibly good.

The menu consisted of all you can eat turkey, chicken, frog legs and ham, complete with all the trimmings including potatoes, stuffing, salad, soup and about 15 different desserts for the total price of $8.95.

Their dessert table even included a chocolate fountain. All of the food was made from scratch, that is to say, there was no gravy imported in 55 gallon drums, the mashed potatoes had an occasional
lump and the chicken soup had a nice oily sheen to it, indicating that it was made from the meat drippings.

The restaurant also does these buffets for mothers day and similar holidays.

Great review OF, I'm glad you had such a good meal. It's nice to know that there is a few restaurants still out there that don't use instant potatoes and canned soup and gravy!

The fried chicken was incredible... It was far, far better than anything served at Zehnder's restaurant in Frankenmuth Michigan, which is regarded as the chicken capital of the world. I ate at 1 P.M.. It is 8 P.M and I am still stuffed!
