Bergere Opera Best Western Hotel Paris Complaint - Concierge
PARIS -- I have stayed in the hotel during transportation strike in Paris. We wanted to got to Disneyland Paris. Since the RER was not working I asked concierge how to get there. They told me that the only way was to go by a private shuttle service which was very expensive. When I hesitated they told me that the same shuttle could also take us to the airport one day later and also added that finding a taxi was also very difficult for the airport and because of heavy traffic was very expensive. I accepted the shuttle for a total price of 230 euros. After taking me and my child back to hotel from Disneyland the driver told me that he never goes to airport and what I was told by the concierge was not true. So I paid 200 euros and had to look for another way of going to the airport.There was another employee in the concierge and this time he said that the only transportation to the airport would be a shuttle again for another 45 euros. Because I was with a child I had to accept the offer. The shuttle was not private.
After coming back to my country I learned that there were more cheaper ways of going to the Disneyland like Cityrama tours which were never mentioned to us by the concierge. As a summary the concierge service in Bergere Opera is not for helping the guests but is for getting commissions for themselves from shuttle services. On top of this they were not polite at all.
