Prestige Kitchen Cabinets Informative - Kitchen Cabinets

LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY -- My experience with Prestige Kitchen Cabinets of Kansas was not good. I used these cabinets as part of a kitchen remodel on my home this fall. (2007) This is the 3rd remodel I've done--we move around a lot due to the nature of my husband's job, so I've done a few kitchen and bathrooms! I went to a local company who is a distributor of Prestige--originally because they sold Kraftmaid cabinets. I've had pretty good experience with Kraftmaid in the past. Anyway, I was told that Prestige was a "higher end" company and they were better than Kraftmaid. I decided to spend the extra $$ thinking they would be better. Long story short: the quality was poor, the finishing was sloppy and the overall look, in my opinion is really cheap. We had cabinet doors that were not fully coated with paint, scratches on the sides of the cabinets, popped nails that came through the sides of the cabinets, fraying plywood, missing screws--I could go on and on.

My contractor on this job was a cabinet maker and found lots of problems and imperfections. Bottom line: don't buy them--they're not worth it!!!
