Staples Complaint - Extremely Poor Website Capability
Staples sucks big time. They created a website lacking the capability to handle heavy sales traffic. Understanding this, they fail to take ownership of this problem and pass the buck on to the consumer. Black Friday (recent past weekend Holiday Sale) the website locked up and kicked me out through out the run of the sale. No explanation was ever offered other than, "Yes, we know about the problem and are very sorry it happened, but we are not going to offer any product offered during the sale at the sale price simply due to that problem." In all, I spoke to five customer service people and one at the corporate 1-800 number I was given. The person at the CEO's number was very curt with me from the beginning of my call and was primarily interested in the name of the person that gave me their phone number.
I recommended to the customer service representative they discontinue apologizing for their poor internet service and explain they simply are not going to make things right by providing the products to any and all customers who approach them with a similar Black Friday Sale experience. Me and my family and extend family members have taken this slap in the face from Staples for the last time and will never set foot in any of their stores. We additionally will not assist any Staples employee needing first aid/responder assistance under any condition. We would like to think we could assist them, but must respond in-kind to Staples bad business practices. The biggest jerk at Staples is the CEO level person I spoke with that down played the importance of my call expressing more interest in who gave me their telephone number. As Yoda would say, "Idiots all, they are!"
