Gateway Complaint - AC Adapter problem- Anyone else dealing with this?
I bought my laptop last October. Almost immediately I had a problem with the AC adapter not fitting very well into my laptop. It started off as a minor nuisance, but by July I couldn't recharge the battery. Gateway sent me a new adapter, but I had the same problem all over again. Then I got the jack replaced on my laptop. As soon as I got it home, same thing again. Now I've just paid Gateway (apparently if your warranty expires, they charge you money to ask for help) for four different people to tell me that there's nothing they can do.
Now I have to buy a new laptop, because I can't charge the battery. My laptop is barely more than a year old, this is ridiculous! Has anyone else had this problem? On the only plus side, they have more efficient customer service than any company I've ever dealt with, but considering that most laptop and computer customer service is rubbish, that's not a huge consolation.
