Tree Classics Complaint - Terrible Customer Service
LAKE BARRINGTON, ILLINOIS -- I ordered a tree from Tree Classics on Nov. 25th primarily because they are made in America, and supposed to be excellent quality tree. They charged my American Express card that day. On the 27th I received an email saying that due to a computer inventory malfunction, they were out of the tree I selected and "offered" me another one at the same price point. Even though it was 6" smaller, it had more tips, so I emailed back that I would reluctantly accept it. It is now Dec. 4th and I have made 7 attempts to contact them to find out if my tree would be shipped and have received no answer. All phone mailboxes are full and you are cut off. There is no email reply. I have also faxed two letters to them. Avoid this company at all costs. Sadly, I am contacting American Express to get my money back and will have to buy Chinese junk.

I remember this time of year in 2007 like it was yesterday. It was a very, very bad set of circumstances with overseas delivery delay. We had our inventory online and ready to go in the heat of the season but had repeated delays from China (yes, our product is made there and elsewhere, we never deny that or state otherwise) that caused customers a lot of grief. This caused our lines, emails, and all our staff to be bogged down from customers asking on delivery status. Again, I'm very sorry this happened to you but because of late 2007 we have made changes that will never allow this to happen again.
