Amazon.com Complaint - Complaint - Fraudulent charge
LAKEWOOD, COLORADO -- Earlier this week I ordered a book from Amazon which seemed to handled correctly. However, two days ago I was trying to get prices and shipping charges for another product. The mailing charges were to high so I just exited the web site without giving a credit card number and ordered where I normally do. The next day I got a notice that Amazon had charged my account and shipped the product. They said there is a quick button to buy and they must have kept my account information and charged my account without me completing the transaction. I think this is illegal and fraudulent and never gave them permission to save my account information and use it to charge things to my account and send without my completing the sale. I will contact the district attorney to see if this is legal. They say the item was shipped and charged and cannot be stopped at this point. I now have to wait and deal with the second party and see if truly they will credit my account with mailing charges for a full refund.
Time and effort involved in this has been upsetting and I will never do business with Amazon again. I see many people have had trouble with Amazon. I will suggest all my friends read this web site before buying from Amazon.com.
