DirecTV Inc Complaint - Don't even try it!!!
BRISTOL, CONNECTICUT -- We thought we would give them a chance, we spent an hour on the phone with a rep getting all the information. We asked specifically how long we had to cancel if we weren't happy. He said 3 days and so I started thinking that it doesn't seem like a long time so something must be up. Well I was right. After the installation, including the tech hitting a wire in our wall and sparks, we weren't happy- the HD picture wasn't very good compared to cable. When we called the next day to cancel, they said ok and cancelled. When we asked about the $199 we paid for we were told that once the box is activated, it is non refundable!! I spoke to 3 different people and all that anyone said was that the sale is final, even though we have to send back the box. The reps are like robots and I don't know how they live with themselves, knowing that this is happening to innocent and unexpecting customers. When I asked one of them why they didn't tell us, they said that WE DIDN'T ASK!!!! I
can't believe they can get away with this!!! So basically we paid $199 for a fried wire and holes in our walls and now we even have to take the satellite down ourselves and dispose of it!!!
NEVER TRUST THIS COMPANY AND DON'T EVEN TRY OR YOU WILL BE OUT A LOT OF $$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!
