Kentucky Fried Chicken FTW Compliment - Bad times turned out good
SAN MARCOS, TEXAS -- Well yesterday I had a horrible experience at the KFC in San Marcos, TX. I attempted to order their popcorn chicken and a medium sweet tea. it took over 17mins to get the food. while waiting, 2 car had ordered and drove off because of the wait (if I wasn't stuck between cars I would have left too) well finally I get to the window and the women there asked what our order was...I was like you had 10mins to get it ready and you didn't know what I had. well I told her and handed my CC, she quickly took it and gave me a look. the window then closed and 7mins later she came with the order and CC. I was worried that she kept the card with her as I could not see if she had set it down or held with her as she walked off. I get my stuff and there was not even an apology for wait. I mean after sitting there for 17 mins I would have expected some sort apology or even upsize my drink for the wait. So I called the 800 number and lodged a complaint with customer service. I told them how I waited a long time to get a simple order and that with 1 car in front of me it shouldn't have taken that long. she was very apologetic and took my info. Today I get a call from the local KFC, it was the general manager, she was very sorry that I wait that long in drive thru, she explained that they training new people and that it would be addressed. I was shocked on how professional the management handle the situation. I was planning on not going back to that KFC as it my first time there and not a very good time. well I was so blown away by the way the called me and addressed the situation that I WILL be going back now. Its great to see that there are some managers that will do the right thing. I read lots of reviews on here where the managers don't do anything or blow you off, but the KFC in San Marcos is great. I had and bad experience but it was turned around! congrats to the management there.
