Uno Chicago Grill Complaint - Poor Management
CLAY, NY -- This is not a food review, rather this is a poor management review. I went to apply at UNO due to the now hiring banner. I applied on line and waited a good week before calling back. I spoke with a manager who said to me that we could do an interview on Thursday. We set the time, he said though to call him about 15 minutes before I would arrive. I thought this was very strange. He then said to call in case the weather was bad. This again was VERY odd to me. OK, I live outside of Syracuse, NY, and yes we do get bad weather. But no where in sight has the weather been bad as of yet. The following day I do as instructed, I call as I am about to head out. I call, I get some little ditzy girl on the phone telling me to "hold on." I am literally on the phone a good five minutes before someone else gets on. His name is Frank and he is the assistant manager on duty. I go in to telling him that I have an interview with Mike at 3:35 p.m. He said that was impossible because he has meetings all day. I go on to tell him how can that be when he arranged the time and the date of the interview. He had no clue and said that I would have to call back next week. He also got into saying that at UNO they do two interviews. Right for a pizza/burger joint two interviews my ass. What am I going for a senate job or what? I told him to forget it and with all this confusion, I would not want to work for a company like that. Very dysfunctional.
Not to mention there pizza is WAY over priced and not very good at all. I have had better frozen deep dish pizza. My final thoughts about UNO, do not eat there, and by God, don't try to get a job there either.
