Toshiba Complaint - Month Old Toshiba Computer

Review by flewtobob on 2007-12-14
CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE -- I purchased a Toshiba Satelite 11/07 two weeks after I start to have problems, blue screen, closing window without premission. I called Toshiba they told me to reload my restore Disk, I did that and still same problems, I call them back and now they want me to send back to them at my expense... and in the meantime I will not have a computer to do my daily work that I get paid for... so no income for the time they will have my computer.. I will post on every site I fine and I will spen my hard earn money to purchase a FULL page AD in my local paper to let people know NOT to purchase a TOSHIBA because of the bad computer and BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I plan to talk to a lawyer.. I cannot be with out my computer. Next one will be a DELL

You think a Dell would be any better when it comes to service? Why didn't you return the machine to where you bought it for an exchange? It was only two weeks after purchase. Oh, if you do place a full page ad in the paper be prepared to face their lawyers when they file a slander lawsuit against you. Even though you may be right they will drain your finances for legal costs.

Stuff happens for gawd's sake. Stop having a tantrum. Toshiba makes one of the most reliable and popular note books out there. They can't fix it if you don't send it to them. If your income is so critical to having a computer, then you should go and get yourself a back up anyway.

I hate Dell with a passion! If it is so critical for your income to have this computer send it out to get fixed. Why is that such an issue? They are willing to fix it and you are unwilling to send it to be fixed, I don't understand your logic. If I were you, I would invest in a flash drive. You can back up all of your files onto the flash drive and if you have another issue you don't have to worry about losing any data.

One last thing, if you actually do take an ad out in the paper, be aware that it is slander and you can and will be sued.

the problem with your coment are , I'm not rich I saved to get this computer and less than 1 month it's not working come on should I have to put up with this I think not. I did take it back to the store and I was advised that after 14 day I can not return and I must speak to Toshiba.. And you are right I will spend money and do what I have to do to make sure I;m getting what I paid for. Yes I do depend on my computer to make a living that is why I purchased a NEW ONE get it......

Well yelling at us isn't going to help. I save up money myself. But if they are offering to fix it, then let them. Don't argue with us and make baseless threats of newspaper ads. Let them do what they have to do to make it right. You haven't even given them a chance to fix it.

Slimjim, I beg to differ with you, Toshiba does not make the best computer ever, I had one and had nothing but problems, a couple years later my wife got one and she had nothing but problems too. but as with anything electronic, they all have problems, mainly, because companies do not care about their customers anymore, all they want is our "money".

FCO...I believe Slim said "Toshiba makes one of the most reliable and popular note books out there." not the best computer ever.
