Jessup Auto Plaza Complaint - faulty repair, unwilling to make good

PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA -- we live in Long Beach,Ca. On 8/16/02 we were in Palm Springs, Ca.. My wifes suburban engine check light went on. We took the car to Mr. Goodwrench AKA Jessup Auto Plaza. the final bill totalled $1,526.83. They advised us that the cooling system required major service. We oked the service and we paid the bill. About 2 months later my wife saw some fluid leakage. She took the car to another Mr. Goodwrench, Beach City Chev.. That bill came to $1,444.00. The cooling system had improperly been repaired with a broken nipple that had been improperly tapped. Beach Chevy stated clearly thAT THIS WAS THE FAULT of whoever did the previous work, Jessup Auto. We called and spoke to the service manager. He had us drive from Lng Beach to Jessup with the part. He then took two months to offer us half the cost of the faulty repair. We then took them to small claims and won. We have travelled to the deseryt three times now, always on week days. Now they have appealed a $1,400.00 small claim to the superior court. They are doing this out of spite. I would like to know what I can do so other people do not have this same rotten experience with an unethical company like Jessup Auto Plaza

Well at least you got half your money back. Most repair shops would not even admit fault. The best thing you can probably do is to post your experience on as many sites like this as you can find. I'm sure you experience will help steer some people from them.
