Buy.com Complaint - False advertising of discounted products at Buy.com
I purchased a Zune 30GB player after reading "hot email alert" from Buy.com on Nov 23rd. I was able to buy a Zune for a good price and with my Google first time buyer discount, it came to $84. I was very excited.
I have yet to receive the product or any notice about my shipment. I sent 2 emails and am just being told basically, they don't have it in stock and can't tell me when and if they will ever have it available, and I will know when I get a ship notice, whenever that may be. What really irritates me further is more emails sent to my inbox advertising the same product in white vs black. So why can't they offer to substitute in white? The white is refurbished as is the black one I ordered. This is all very irritating and I have read other blogs that indicate that Buy.com may choose to not ship your product if they decide later not to fulfill their advertised product. Their should be consumer/retail laws about this practice which I am getting really tired of. I am getting burned by more retailers but am really infurated with Buy.com dangling in my face by continuing to advertise the same product at the same price.
