Volkswagon Complaint - Failed Transmission - 2001 New Beetle
2001 New Beetle - Complaint
HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT -- Purchaseed a low mileage "certified" Beetle in July 2003. Within one month and 1,000 miles the clutch assembly failed. The dealer refused to honor both VW and State mandated warranties. VW was advised and has taken no action to remediate the problem. Final resolution required bringing a lawsuit against both the dealer and VOA.

clutches aren't covered in any warrenty unless it is determined that it is a defect. If the clutches just 'goes out' it's not covered
