OMAHA, NEBRASKA -- As a consumer from your state, I felt it was my responsibility to bring to your attention the following incident.
I ordered a computer through www.aipcs.com on July 2, 2003 and have not recieved the computer as of August 28, 2003. I have been lied to and yelled at and had the phone hung up on me several times by Lambrose Ballas at AIPCS.
I signed and returned a financing contract that said I was approved for $2500 in credit towards any product at AIPCS with a down payment of $250 and a processing fee of $29. My money order was cashed at the end of June 2003 and my order was finalized with AIPCS sales department on July 2, 2003. After waiting several weeks and not receiving my computer, I contacted AIPCS and was told there was a delay and the computer should ship on July 23, 2003. I then waited until July 26, 2003 and contacted AIPCS again and was told there were more delays but I was not given a reason and Lambrose Ballas refused to communicate with me over the phone and told me only to contact them about my order via email. I then sent many emails trying to get details on why I had not received my order yet. None of them were answered. I called AIPCS on August 12, 2003 and told them I was going to keep calling until someone talked to me about my order. They then connected me to Lambrose Ballas. He apologized for the delay and told me they were waiting to ship the order pending a check from their finance company. He then told me they had received the check on August 11, 2003 and my computer was built, tested and packaged as of the time I talked to him on August 12, 2003. Lambrose Ballas then told me that everything was complete and my order would ship out no later than August 14, 2003. I sent several emails between August 14, 2003 and August 21, 2003 inquiring the status of my shipment and none of them were answered. I waited until August 22, 2003 and was worried that my order got lost and I had not received a tracking number yet so I then contacted AIPCS over the phone again. Lambrose told me he was busy and to call back in 1 hour and he would check on my order. I called back in 1 hour and he told me I had to call back on Monday because he could not access my account after a certain time of the day. I contacted AIPCS on Monday, August 25, 2003 per Lambrose Ballas request. He then told me they were still waiting for the financing check for the order. I then told him he was lying to me because he told me on August 12, 2003 that he had received the financing check on August 11, 2003. He then hung up the phone on me. I called AIPCS back and the person that answered the phone told me Lambrose stepped out and to call back. I called back a few minutes later and talked to Lambrose again. I asked for his supervisor and he told me he did not have one and he reported directly to the board of directors. I then asked for a contact number to someone above his job title that could handle my problem. He refused to give me a phone number for someone that was his superior. I then asked him the name and phone number of the company that was doing my financing. He refused to give that to me as well stating that since AIPCS was a private company he was not required to give that information out.
As a resolution, I would like the following:
I would like to have the computer delivered that I have signed a contract for and paid the down payment for that has been built for me by AIPCS. I would also like the price on said computer to be adjusted based on the time it has/will take to deliver my computer into my possession.
Please contact me if you need more details regarding this incident.
