Review by Anonymous on 2003-08-28
A FEW MONTHS AGO I BOUGHT A CD RW FOR MY COMPUTER AND ITS BIGGEST SELLING POINT TO ME WAS THE 30$ MAIL IN REBATE. I MAILED MY REBATE IN THAT DAY 5/15. AFTER NUMEROUS EMAILS AND COMPLAINTS I FINALLY GET MY REBATE 8/12.sO I IMMEDIATELY TOOK THIS TO MY BANK AND DEPOSITED IT ONLY TO FIND OUT THE CHECK WAS BAD I RECIEVED A 3$ CHARGE AGAINST MY ACCOUNT AND THEY TOOK THE 30$ RBATE BACK OUT OF MY ACCOUNT. HOW NICE MY REBATE JUST COST ME 3 BUCKS.sO I DECIDED TO CALL THE BANK AND SEE IF FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE THEY GIVE ME A NUMBER TO CALL OF BOB EVANS HE SAYS CENDYNE HAS NO MONEY TO HONOR REBATES AND THEY ARE OUT OF BUSINESS. I ASKED THIS MAN WHAT WAS I SUPPOSE TO DO ABOUT MY REBATE HE SAYS WELL WE WILL SEND YOU A LETTER.WHAT???? DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CENDYNE THEY ARE OUT OF BUSINESS AND HAVE NO MONEY TO HONOR ANY REBATES.
THANKS,
DEANEA

I have a Cendyne CDRW I bought at OfficeMax that was a "good deal" until it stopped detecting blank cds a month after I got it. Cendyne has been screwing me around since early August, first telling me to tell them the shipping date, then erasing my "case number", twice. They must be out of business for sure, now. None of their telephone numbers work, either. You get a recording that they have been in "receivership" since August 14, 2003. Telephone number is (714) 556-1020 if you'd like to hear the recording.
