Jennings Informative - Bad Business - Replace Intake Gaskets

Review by junk on 2007-12-20
CHAMBERSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA -- Now that we know you use this site we would like to take a moment to reflect on the last few weeks. You have lost a lot of very loyal customers over this and as the word spreads you will lose more for this type of business practice does not last long. A old person that has lived in this area all of his life made a statement to me that really sums all this up - The reputation that Jennings has had over the years has been very good buy it there, have it serviced there, and they will do right by you and stand firmly behind their work, that was when their father ran the business, now his boys do and look what you have- oh how true this is. Just proves the old saying that if you have not worked and earned something you are not able to value it nor appreciate it.

For those of you that do not know what this is about I will sum it up for you. Had Jennings replace our intake gaskets for us- this was not cheap- left the lot of Jennings after my car was done drove less than a mile down the road when I noticed my oil pressure was dropping- out come of this was a blown engine- Jennings is not standing behind this at all. Had this been 15 or 20 years ago when his father was still running the business the out come of this would have been a lot different.

So please before you make the second largest investment other than your home please do your homework and ask around before you buy, there are a lot of GM dealerships around, find one that has a back bone and takes pride in their work and pride in their loyal customers, that would not be Jennings.

When you noticed the oil pressure dropping did you immediately stop the car and turn off the engine or keep driving?

Junk- thougt you were a "cute little lady" who was getting the work done for free. Could be that Jennings checks sites like these to see how tery're doing and what the customers are saying. Could be they saw your other post and with all the information you gave about your car, it would have been real easy to figure out who you are. If I was the manager, I certainly would have pulled the plug on your free repairs. You were not a very nice person (not a lady) and maybe they are in the position to turn you out.

Have a good holiday. Yes, we already know you are also anti-semitic so from someone of another faith, I did mean holiday!

Yes I id shut the car off but the damage has already been done.Sorry for the other post but that was another family member that was very upset at what has happened not me. Everything they posted was true but is not the way I handle things.I am getting the repairs done at no cost to me just not by Jennings we nolonger trust them and are glad to be done with them. The whole thing has been a real nightmare but sometimes life throws things at you that your not expecting but its just a car and i will be fixed soon and i have learned alot thru all this so it`s not a total lose.I just wanted to correct somethings that my family member posted and let as many people as possible know of what heppened and to let them know Jennings is not what it once was. Have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS.

I think it is a bit out of line to bring up "the old days" in a case like this...however, I cannot find the original posting for this complaint so I'm not sure what was stated previously. I am familiar with the Jennings organization and have always heard good things.

Looks like the moderators pulled the entire first post down.

Probably pulled sue to posters offensive attitude towards others and the anti-semitic demeanor. Very anti-Israel. here are SAFE places there for study. You can do a search for Jennings on the blue bar at the top.
