Days Inn Informative - Days Inn No Cancellation Rule
PORT ARARNAS, TEXAS -- When someone takes money from you it is called thievery. In the case of Day Inn it is everyday practice. My husband, VietNam 100% disabled veteran, and I had planned to spend Christmas with our son who is stationed at Fort Hood--he is getting ready to be deployed this spring and next Christmas he will not be here. Due to conditions beyond our earthly control--we found that we could not go. I had bought insurance on our airline tickets and was able to cancel. We called the Days Inn and the purpose was busy but stated that I could cancel if I called back that evening. I did and then was told "sorry you can't get your money back." All $500 was going to be theirs.
I filed a report but corporate office said it probably wouldn't happen--my son is deployed, our cars were destroyed due to ice, and money that takes us months and months to save was taken away.
How can this be legal?
