NECKTIES.COM Complaint - Failure to deliver goods or return phone calls - neckties
Complaint
On May 5, 2003, I ordered 3 neckties through their website. I paid through PayPal. After a month, there was no delivery, so I emailed them through their customer service form and also called them. Only an answering machine picked up. I called several times that day, hoping a real person would pick up, but that did not happen, so I left a voicemail.
In the following 6 weeks, I could not get them to reply to me through email or phone. And there was no delivery of the goods I paid for. I sent them a very stern warning by email, which prompted a form letter response saying that they would resolve my complaint in 24 hours. That did not happen. They took my money and never contacted me again.
Three days afte receiving that form letter, and after more emails and phone calls, I registered a complaint with the Tulsa Better Business Bureau and PayPal. Unfortunately, after 30 days PayPal will not refund any money on a transaction since they are a 3rd party, so I could not get my money back that way. The Tulsa BBB attempted two times to contact NECKTIES.COM by mail, and both times were unsuccessful. NECKTIES makes a practice of never answering their customer service line with a live person, so it is impossible to get a hold of them unless they want to return your call.

Keep working with the Tulsa Better Susiness Bureau, don't let this company rip you off. Another route you might consider is contacting the Attorney General of the state where Neckties.com is located, just a thought.
