Alltel Complaint - Alltel coverage
SAVANNAH, GEORGIA -- I have been a Alltel customer for approximatley 10 years. I have three phones. My son recently went to college. We were under contract with his phone. We checked coverage for his school on the coverage map and with an Alltel rep. They assured there was coverage in this area. My sons phone quit working two months prior to his move so we purchased another phone for him. When he arrived to school he had no service at all. There was no way he would be able to reach me. I had to change service providers. As you know it is a lot of money, activation fees and pro rate charges. I explained to Alltel the situation. I hoped they would drop the 200.00 contract fee since I was misinformed or just pure lied to.
They were very rude and told me it wasn't their fault my son moved. I am working hard to send them this money, but wasn't able to pay all at once. They call my house daily if not twice a day with an automated phone message and now have tacked on late fees. I even wrote the corporate office, who didn't bother to return my email.
I will never do business with them again nor would I recommend anyone to do business with them.
