Luxottica / LensCrafters Informative - Products - I went to LensCrafters - Formerly D.O.C Optics

TAYLOR, MICHIGAN -- I went to LensCrafters to purchase eyeglasses in Taylor, MI. The D.O.C. optical store use to have a great selection of frames mens / womens, but now they have cheap stuff. No Hartmarx for men the only frame that fit me well and all the nice frames they had they don't have now. The bad thing when it was D.O.C. you could sit down look at a frame on the computer with sales staff. 3 days you could try it on because they would have it in store for you. Not anymore. They can't even order frames now. Terrible company.

They don't take any insurance anymore either. How am I suppose to buy glasses when you don't take medical insurance?? Bad part Pearl Vision Sears and many more all owned by this company.

Go to places that have the frames you need and takes insurance or buy on line cheap.

"Luxottica is the closest thing to a monopoly, I can come up with.

Are you pissed off at LensCrafters? Just go to Pearle Vision right? Nope. Same company. Surely, Target or Sears will get you clear of the bad taste LenCrafters has left you with. No again."

If you want to avoid doing business with this company, you'll have to avoid all these brands.
