Eharmony Complaint - Eharmony on line dating service - on-line dating service

on-line dating service - Complaint
Review by joyful aloha on 2007-12-26
HONOLULU, HAWAII -- A farce. After ending my 3 month membership I continued to get e-mails from clients of this service - even 6 months later. I was no longer a member and no longer involved, yet these women read my profile and wanted to contact me. This is extremely deceptive. Is this what happened to me when I tried to contact members? Were they no longer even involved - yet eharmony continued to use their pictures? How deceptive can they be. I do NOT recommend this dating service to anyone seriously looking for partnership potential.

I'd suggest getting out and meeting people instead of using the internet as a sole dating device. But thanks for the tips.

Best bet for finding someone to date is a church social, or other community gathering. I'd steer clear of bars, and online services or those ones that you can join by phone.....

Agree with all the above.
What is so funny to me are the people so busy that they can't or don't have time to date because of too many Church, career and gatherings with friends and family.....DUH!
When I went through my divorce and wasn't looking for anything too serious, I joined one of those phone chatlines and no not the 976 ones and I had a date nearly evey week. No, they didn't look like the ladies on the commercials but it got me through some tough times.

I've not known anyone personally who has used a dating service but I would like to know how Eharmony operates other than accepting your money. Had you answered any of the emails after your membership cancellation would your membership been extended and you charged for it? Do they want to show their current membership larger than it actually is? Take a moment Joyful Aloha, or anyone else, and explain to the other members what joining entails and the cost involved.
