Wendy's Compliment - Snackers - Got my 'fix'...
TROY, MICHIGAN -- Did a little running (in the car) this morning. It was nearing lunch time and the stomach started rumbling. As I approached my local Wendy's restaurant, it turned to a loud growl.
I glanced at the high-in-the-air sign and saw: Snackers $.99. Pulled up to the drive-thru window and asked the gal what they were. Guess I'm a late bloomer because I hadn't seen them advertised before. She described them for me. Decided I'd try two of them.
Got home and after adding a little more catsup to one, poured a cup of coffee, and chomped down on a delicious sandwich.
It consisted of mayo, slight bit of catsup, two meat patties, and a slice of that processed stuff that passes for American cheese--but I like it anyway. Delicious!
Now you purists can lay off. I don't eat them on a daily or even weekly basis. It was just the kind of hot sandwich I like. Will probably nuke the other one later this afternoon, but they're always better when first served.
Don't know how the Clawson MI Wendy's manages to give such fast, accurate service. From the time I pulled into the drive to the time I left the window, I doubt if five minutes' time elapsed. Cars were lined up since 11:39AM was stamped on my ticket and a lot of people were out during their lunch time.
Thanks Clawson Wendy's. At a very reasonable price, you satisfied my craving for fast food.
