Federal Express Corporation Complaint - Fedex stole my Sony laptop
CANOGA PARK, CALIFORNIA -- I dropped several packages at Fedex and since they were many packages and I had my little girl with me, I made the mistake of not getting a receipt. All the packages arrived except the Sony laptop which was in it's original box that shows exactly what is in it. Fedex claims they never got it. I guess an employee just stole it and got himself a very nice Christmas present.
I made the label at home and dropped the package like I hav done hundereds of time before, but this time I did not get a receipt. My tracking number is 754592410001363.
The funny thing is that I switched from UPS to Fedex a few months ago. UPS stores would refuse to give a receipt and I was always afraid that my package gets lost in store or employee steals it; so I switched to Fedex.
Now they telling me tough luck. Customer service says if we don't have a record of it then you didn't drop it off. How can I prove to them that I dropped the package. Can a 7 year old kid testify for me?
So, what do I do? Can I go to small claims court? Has anyone else had this problem and how was it resolved.
