Wal-Mart Complaint - Customer service...what a joke!
When you see puppies being sold on WalMart property (even though they will do nothing!) please complain to the management...if you can get through to them. Customer Service will only laugh behind your back. If you need a reason to complain, consider that these backyard breeders are the reason purebreds now have so many health problems. Consider that more than 5 million animals are euthanized because there are not enough homes for them all. Consider that your tax money supports animal control and those puppies not sold are dumped on the road or at the shelter to be euthanized...paid for by you!
A couple of years ago I was physically assaulted in a WalMart parking lot by a "hillbilly" couple selling puppies out of the back of their truck. I complained to HEADQUARTERS in Bentonville and they assured me their nationwide policy for all stores certainly did not allow such activity, that they were very sorry about my experience and assured me it would never happen again...lied through their teeth. When I saw more hillbillys selling on their parking lot again I thought bringing it to the manager's attention would take care of the situation. I could never get to a manager! Customer Service was non responsive, the WalMart employee I next asked to point me in the direction of the manager's office instead took me to the camera dept. to "page" the manager. After waiting quarter of an hour, another employee came along and said the manager was taking care of the problem as we spoke. Did they think I wouldn't notice the dogs still for sale when I got to the parking lot? The hillbillies were still there. I parked next to their vehicle (after all it was a parking lot) and they finally left when I told people they could adopt a dog with all its health needs for less (asking $200. for those lab pups, no shots, no health records, nothing but the dog and a piece of paper that said it was registered).
I guess the employees are the ones running these stores and the managers are clueless. Others I have spoken with have told me of their own difficulty in speaking with a manager! When I informed Bentonville their response was pretty much benign! When I need a cheap throwaway product I'LL BE SHOPPING TARGET instead of Walfart. MUCH NICER SELECTION, CLEANER STORES--AND THE EMPLOYEES APPEAR TO BE A BETTER CLASS OF CITIZEN.
