RANCHO CORDOVA, CALIFORNIA -- On 12/26, I called the Quality Inn hotel in Rancho Cordova, city next to sacramento), about a room. The dsk clerk quoted 59.99 of which I accepted. I asked for a reservation with a confirmation #, he said we are very slow tonight , just come in. I arrived, the front door to the lobby was locked.turns out he was somewhere in the hotel area and he had problems with the key cards of a checked in guest. When I finally met him in the lobby, he asked to borrow my cell to call his superior. Took over 20 minutes for him to fix the initial problem and when my turn came, I mentioned about the rate and gave him my choice privilege # ( he gave me a blank look) This guy wasn't trained well enough to be put on his own shift.
Problems with the room include dripping faucet and the toilet flushes on its own every couple of minutes. We were so tired when we checked in @ 8 pm, we just wanted to sleep.
Next day upon check out, the morning guy name Ali gave me my receipt showing 85.00. After giving him my story, he said that it is not within his power to adjust and he will have to talk to his supervisor Lisa who will not be available til next week.( found out later in the morning that it was a new night auditor)
Anyway, I would say: not only avoid this hotel but the whole Choice hotel chain.
