Travelocity Complaint - Fraudulent Travelocity ruined my honeymoon
I will make an extremely long story short. I paid $1800.00 for a airfare and hotel package to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with Travelocity. I received only airfare. Upon my arrival to the resort, I was told by the receptionist that they did not have any reservations under my name. When talking with American Express, they assured me that my card had most certainly been charged for the room. So where was it?
The incompetent, inaudible, third-world operators I spoke with (8 in total, after being hung-up on multiple times)confirmed my reservation with the hotel and my payment to them. They assured me they would fix it. They did not. This was in October, it is now January.
In the end, I paid for the seven night stay totaling $1,400.00, after already being charged for it once before. I spent a total of $500 in international phone calls to Travelocity. They have not reimbursed me for anything.
Because of Travelocity, my honeymoon was ruined, and I am out in excess of $2,000.00.
I am now considering pursuing legal action.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TRAVELOCITY!!!
They have made no attempt to accept responsibility for there erroneous actions, and they have not made good on their errors.
