Airtran Airways Complaint - Nonstop Means Stop In ATL
In March I booked a flight with AirTran that was supposed to be NONSTOP!!! (I only book nonstop flights because I have a family of 4 with a 1 and 2 year old). After going to the website to print my boarding pass suddenly I realized that we had to stop in ATL I immediately called AirTran to find out that all the flights had been changed to make a stop in ATL. I asked if there was anything that I could do to get my money back since my confirmation reflected that I had booked a NONSTOP flight, I had purchased 4 tickets with the impression that they were NONSTOP!!! I was told that it was nothing they could do.
So, I decided that I will never fly AirTran again. My sister decided that she would come to visit me in December 07 (FTL) and had the same problem again. She immediately called and asked why do the flights say NONSTOP if in fact its not true. She talked to three customer service reps and one told her that, "AirTran never offers NONSTOP fligts", after researching the website she found NONSTOP again and called and told them that she foound a NONSTOP flight for MARCH, that rep told her, "
That just means that you stop in ATL, but you don't change planes." The last rep told her that he was sorry, but there is nothing he could do. She spoke with a manager who was extremely rude and, basically didn't care and offered her nothing for the mix up. After printing her boarding pass she realized that not only does she have to stop, but also change planes. So, my advise would be never fly NONSTOP with AirTran they LIE and refuse to admit it!!!!!
