Sears Informative - Customer Service?
CHESTERFIELD, MISSOURI -- Wow, After reading a few comments about Sears from others, my issue seems almost trivial - I didn't lose tons of frozen food because my refrigerator broke down and Sears dropped the ball, nothing like that. I got a sweatshirt as a Christmas present, but it was too small. I called to see if they had it in my size and was told that although all of the tags, etc were still on the shirt - I would need a receipt to return OR to exchange the sweatshirt.
This was a Christmas gift - I don't have a receipt. They won't budge and now I have a worthless gift. I think that Sears should empower their people to make decisions for the GOOD of their future retailing business, because I will never shop in Sears again...
So, it doesn't take a dramatic, expensive event to lose business - just make someone keep a sweatshirt that doesn't fit and give them the power to tell their story over and over and over again. Way to go Sears!!
