Airlink Airport Shuttle Complaint - Airlink Shuttle from LaGuardia to Manhattan
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- I had gotten a Ticket online from a Company called Airlink which offered a Shuttle service to Manhattan for LaGuardia Airport. This e-Ticket clearly stated pick up time was 4:00 pm. I waited for over an hour before I started to complain about the delay I was told the driver was just 5 minutes away. After another hour the Shuttle arrived and I got in and asked the driver when we will get to Manhattan. His response was he didn't know because we had to wait for other riders. I asked him when the other riders flights were coming in he stated that there was no schedule riders that we would just have to wait until someone happened along.
I asked if it could be more that two hour and he said yes! At that point I left the Shuttle and complained to the airport and was told that Airlink will not be allowed to pickup at the airport starting in 2008. I ended up taking a taxi into Manhattan for $30.00 with tip and the shuttle was $16.00 with tip so it was only a $14.00 cost different, but the taxi only took 20 minutes to get to Manhattan. So this Airlink was a real waste of time. To top it off, today I called to have my credit card charged back the cost of the ticket I was told I would have to mail the e-tickets to them and then they would refund the money.
So their service is a total waste of time and you have to waste even more time to mail for a refund, when they can manage to take my money instantly online. Anyway I called Visa (wonderful customer service) which has credited my account the $29.00 for the round trip ticket while they investigate Airlinks credit card refund policies. So my advice is to avoid Airlink (they service LaGuardia and JFK and Manhattan.)
