Kwik Kar Lube & Tune Complaint - Being ripped off

Review by ricky0123 on 2008-01-02
ALLEN, TEXAS -- You go in to get your vehicle's oil changed and the tech. comes in and tells you that you need a brake flush or power steering flush when your car only has 9,762 miles on it. The oil has just set in. When you tell him that you'll take care of it at the routine maintenance schedule but thanks for letting you know you drive away with a couple of nails in your tire for not having it done or not getting your air filter changed.

Meanwhile your sitting in the waiting room and all the while you see the hispanics grabbing each others rear end and talking about their mothers and the manager just goes right along with it. Way to go.

Their highest profits come from selling extras such as air filters and fluid flushes. The employee gets a 'cut' from those sales. In most cases none of those extras are really needed. I've had a grease monkey tell me my transmission fluid was filthy and needed to be flushed. This was the same day I had the transmission serviced elsewhere.
