Sports Illustrated for Kids Compliment - Help without a bad attitude!
For Christmas my mother gave my son a pre-paid subscription to Sports Illustrated for Kids.
She said it would take up to 6 weeks for delivery. A few days ago, I realized it had been over the 6 weeks and called my mom. She said that she was going to call me as they had gotten one of the SI for Kids issues at their house.
(Which is 1300 miles away).
I found the SI phone number online. The first 3 times I called, I was put on hold then disconnected. Finally I was able to talk to someone who was very helpful. I explained that I didn't have the account information number on me and that I wasn't sure which name the account was listed under.
After giving him all the information, he could see that it was their error. They had transposed the gift giver with the receiver and since I could verify both addresses, he changed the information for me. I also asked if he could see how many issues were sent out. He said that one has been mailed, but would take a few issues before they could rectify the billing.
He then told me he was going to extend our subscription for 3 extra issues because of their error! Although it was frustrating to be hung up on a few times, I'm very happy that they are making sure my son gets at least the full subscription year of magazines!
