Recent Emails Informative - It's True - Snopes Says So! (Obama, Starbucks, et. al.)
So... Within the past week, two emails have passed the rounds at the office. One blasts Obama for being a militant Wasabi(sic)terrorist sympathizer, while the other claims that Starbucks hates our troops. Both must be accurate, as the email authors note 'I checked Snopes.com - they say it's true'. Darn my cynic gene - I just had to check Snopes anyway.. and the big, red FALSE tag appeared on both of these. Of course if everyone checked sources, these emails would have no life.
If you receive these messages, please reply to the sender noting that their information is false as per Snopes.com (tip: hit 'reply all' for best effect).
Exception: There may be an email going around in the near future, claiming that engagement rings ARE NOT supposed to have diamonds and warning against the carcinogenic properties of gold and platinum. If you receive this email, please forward it to everyone you know, so my girlfriend doesn't become suspicious. Thanks.
