OXNARD, CALIFORNIA -- Beware of GE Microwaves and other Products. I sent the following email in response to their "Contact Us" invitation.
Our GE microwave's magnetron failed in 2 years. The serviceman said that this is very typical of GE microwaves. He said it would not be worth fixing. We intend to give the nasty thing an undignified burial.
Have you folks even noticed all the outrage online about your products? They are inferior to other brands. It appears you are following the business model of American automobile manufacturers: build cheap, sell high, lose market share, go broke. Jack Welch must
We have owned many GE products. Right now we have a GE stove, refrigerator and a dead microwave. The refrigerator is about 12 years old and still sound. It must have been made in the days when GE was a reliable brand. The stove is relatively new so I expect it to break down any day. I will not purchase another GE product. I intend to discover every company GE owns and stay away from those products as well. If I owned GE stock, I would dump it. I suspect you folks will not be in business much longer.
I don't want anything from you, I just want to tell you how I feel. Finally, I don't expect to hear from you because I suspect your customer service department is extremely busy and about as effective as your appliances.
