medcohealth Complaint - Poor Poor Service - prescription rX mail order service

YOu would think that a company in the mail order rX business is competent, has great service, good computer databases, quick follow up on missing shippment. May be that is the case with some mail order companies ... but defintely not medcohealth, ex Merck-Medco.
Be prepared for being without you prescription for days or weeks, incompetent and unfriendly "service operators" that do not know what might have been shipped ...
A nuisance to use that company - better go elsewhere, your local pharamcist can't be as nad on this worst day in busines.

Be careful when you switch back to your local pharmacy. I did not like the mail delivery so I went to the pharmacy for my next prescription. I could not believe the co-pay was $33 for on month. The mail order was $28 for three months. This had to be an error but try to get it corrected. If you have an hour to waste on the phone. Medcohelath told me my company changed the co-pay. They said it made was correct for the one month supoply to be higher than the three month supply my mail. I could not talk to a management person. They said they would have a manager call me in 24 to 48 hours. How bad can it get?

Medco is definately cheaper, however, they are only interested in profit, not your health. My prescription was changed, not because of formulary, but because my drug was not on their "preferred list". As it turns out the substitution is contraindicated for my condition.
I was smart enough not to take the meds, but I have to pay for them!!

This was the worst experience I have ever had. I have used mail order companies in the past, but these people are horrible. Their customer "service" (I use the term lightly) are not knowledgeable or patient. The information given in response to four inquires was wrong--all four times. The pharmacist was rude and impatient. When I select my health insurance for next year, they will not be in the list.
