The Home Security Store Informative - Unfair return policy
I purchased two items from the Home Security Store (the second a replacement for the first). Even though both items were defective I was charged shipping both ways for both items, a cost of about $60. When I contacted customer service I was told that they only paid shipping for returns of items costing a minimum of $100 regardless of who was at fault. Both of the items I ordered met this criteria. But according to their customer service manager, Teresa, Because the items were returned, the purchase price was subtracted from the invoice leaving a zero balance.
Therefore they would not pay shipping -- can you believe it???? BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
