Northwest Airlines Informative - Expiration Dates And Boarding - Ticketing
Ticketing
Review by GothicSmurf on 2008-01-11
I just printed out a ticket confirmation email from Northwest Airlines I just wanted to point out a couple of things as people seem to not read or understand terms.
1. The Unaccompanied Minor Fee has TWO separate service numbers. One for the trip out and one for the trip back. Those are printed on the confirmation email that I will bring to the airport with me (no later than 5:40 am for a 7:40 am flight- Thanks MOM!)
2. The BIG ONES:
CHECK IN BOARDING REQUIREMENTS: Passengers not checked in at least 30 minutes (except Atlanta, Denver, Tampa, LA, DC and Newark which require 45 and Las Vegas 60) and on BOARD 15 minutes before scheduled departure time for domestic, CHECKED IN 60 minutes and on board 30 for international may have their assigned seat and reserved space canceled and will not be eligible for denied boarding compensation.
DOMESTIC TICKET EXPIRATION: Refundable and Nonrefundable tickets expire ONE YEAR after date of FIRST DEPARTURE on ticket. Once any ticket expires, Northwest will retain all amounts collected from passenger as and administration service charge/ cancellation fee.
3. They also list luggage information- size and extra costs, changes and refunds WITH the number to call, and terms and conditions.
Edit: I wanted to point out that ALL the above listed information is IN the E-Ticket confirmation email.
